I did not know about Kyle before that song, but apparently, he has a rap group known as K.i.D. I still don’t think much of the song, however that line still always gives me a good laugh. Upon hearing this me and my girlfriend both started dying of laughter. To make matters ironic, while me and my girlfriend were still talking about how Kyle sounds like Drake, he mentions in the song, “They say that I sound like Drake, I don’t…” at 2:13 into the video. He basically copied Drakes style of rapping and singing on song. While first playing the video, I didn’t think much of it until Kyle started rapping, then me and my girlfriend both started to notice that he looked and sounded a lot like Drake. Now the only reason I decided to listen to it was because I wanted to hear something new. One day when I was sitting around with my girlfriend, I came across a music video on under the recommended videos called Keep it Real by an Artist named Kyle. 2 Chainz) Posted in Hip Hop Nittany | 2 Replies Keep it Real This song does lack lyrically, and the chorus is also repetitive, but it is definitely a club banger, which Tyga is known for making. The songs beat is great, and will definitely cause some dancing as the base line is great. 2 Chainz is everywhere, and its no surprise that Tyga asked him to team up with him on this record. The second features a verse, from rapper 2 Chainz who won second place on MTV’s hottest MC’s list of 2012 behind Kendrick Lamar. However this track gets repetitive very quickly like most of Tygas songs, because the chorus just repeats itself over and over again.

It also features a verse by the impecable lyricist Jadakiss whos verse adds to the song. The first of the two Hit em Up has a feature from the late Tupac Shakur which shows that Tyga is interested in paying homage to the artists that came before him. Both of the tracks have good beats, with heavy base lines that where used to from Tyga so they definitely might be played at a party here or there, however they are lacking lyrically. Rapper dropped Tyga recently dropped two new songs of of his upcoming third studio album called Hit em Up ft. Ne-Yo – Up Out Of Here Posted in Hip Hop Nittany | 3 Replies Tyga Ne-Yo who’s been in the R&B game for a while is still going strong and I up he keeps turning out hits like this. This song is a great way to follow up on his album R.E.D that was released in 2012. He uses his great voice and masterfully written lyrics to get people to move and dance. Not only does the song have a nice up tempo beat, but it also offers the good vocals that we have come accustomed to from Ne-Yo. Its definitely a song that gets people in a dancing mood as it gets the blood flowing, and when listening to it I cant help but to nod my head to the beat. The song features an up tempo beat, with a jazzy, swing sound to it. The song is called Up Out of Here, and is a great follow up to his single Let Me Love You. Ne-yo delivers again with his new song that will be featured on DJ Boy Wonder’s upcoming mix-tape. I know this is a rap blog, but today I decided to switch it up a little bit and feature an R&B song instead. The second one is a song Drake did with Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Rick Ross and is called No New Friends, and does feature Drake rapping for one verse.
